I can add a few more bars and restaurants. I didn't go to a game in June, not planned, just the way it went down. Saw the game on Monday and Wednesday and my streak is broken. Hadn't seen a loss, but Monday we snatched success from the jaws of misery and managed to witness a loss with Madison. She got to see Zoom-zoom pitch, so she was happy. The nachos and peanuts probably helped too.
Anyhoo... Checkers in Cadillac Square downtown is a nice clean bar with checkered tables. Plenty of things to choose from on the menu, but I am only there for one thing, the burger. I had read reviews raving about the bun. It was the worst part of my burger. It was dried out and stale. It might of been nice two days before, but not the day I was there. We didn't get a choice of how it would be grilled either. It was medium well or nothing I guess. I was pretty disappointed. It had potential, but not on this day. I would have to give it a 2. Maybe next time.
